WONDER SEEDS is an open competition art fair aimed to connect young artists and potential new art consumers. In this program designed to support young artists following the concept of "buy = support", selected entries of accessible small works (paintings, prints, illustrations, photographs, etc.) from all across Japan are displayed and sold. This year, the works of approximately 100 artists chosen from 962 entries will be exhibited at TWS Shibuya, where visitors can casually purchase affordable artworks that they like. Through WONDER SEEDS, not only young artists will learn the notion of selling their artworks, but also art fans will experience the awareness of art ownership.

Over the years Tokyo Wonder Site has worked together with numerous art universities throughout Japan, including Kyoto University of Art and Design and the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences (IAMAS), to host exhibitions that introduce emerging artists. This particular project will be jointly conducted by Japanese and French university students and researchers through the cooperation of Tokyo University of Arts, Musashino Art University and école supérieure des beaux-arts de Nantes Métropole (ESBAMN).
The program will be divided into three major parts. In the first term, participants, including spectators, will take part in a reference show that serves the purpose of sharing the program's central theme. During the second term the participants will take part in lectures and workshops in which students and researchers conduct research together. The program will then culminate in the third term, when the students will hold a final show to exhibit the fruit of their efforts. The project will then continue on in March in the French city of Nantes.
Tokyo Wonder Site and GOETHE-INSTITUT JAPAN have continued a series of projects "On the Agenda of the Arts" since 2007. This project considers "possibilities of Arts" in today's multi-cultural societies with international curators and participating artists. This year, we organize the third exhibition, titled "NEW COMMMONS", which explores how new commons function in globalised and diversed societies and communities.
