Purpose of the residency
To participate in the On Site Lab Workshop Series 2 - Dialogue and Commitment in the City, where we worked with creators who were resident within Japan and had a familiarity with Tokyo. We discussed and explored the cultural similarities and differences between Tokyo and London and the effect of Climate Change to the culture.
Plan during the residency
Through working with our Japanese counterparts, we explored the city and conduced research around the rivers and canals in Tokyo, investigating the geographical environment, the city layout and culture and compared this with London.
Report/summary of the residency
A week-long residency where we explored the city through various means with a particular focus on Tokyo water ways, culminating in a presentation and discussion which was open to the public to view the results of our research.
