Cancellation Notice of a performance in TOKYO EXPERIMENTAL FESTIVAL― SOUND,ART & PERFORMANCE vol.6

Tokyo Experimental Festival -Sound, Art & Performance- vol.6 now announces that "Citymixer" by Navinko with Yu Kuwabara, which has been scheduled at 16:00 on January 15th has, with regret, been canceled. Due to the technical problem, Navinko couldn't continue preparing for the performance. Tokyo Wonder Site sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience. All other programs including "The Perception Opera" by Exotikdot which is scheduled at 17:00 on January 15th will be performed as scheduled.

【Apology from Participants】
It is with extreme regret that the Navinko team is forced to pull out of the Tokyo Experimental Festival in 2012. Due to a devastating technical malfunction beyond our control, we will not be able to perform as scheduled. We offer our sincerest apologies to the organizers and staff at Tokyo Wonder Site for the disruption to their well planned event, as well as to audience members who were planning to attend our show. We are grateful to both TWS and the public for their support over the past year and wish everyone an enjoyable festival experience and a wonderful year in 2012.

"Crisis and Modern Art Manner" curated by Taro Chiezo

Tokyo Wonder Site is pleased to announce the group show curated by Taro Chiezo at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien in Berlin, Germany as a part of Berlin- Tokyo Exchange Residency Program 2011.

The exhibition is entitled  "Crisis and Modern Art Manner" which is included four artists who used strong relationships to Tokyo: Taro Chiezo, Jarg Geismar, Kengo Kito, and Mamoru Tsukada. Taro Chiezo curate this exhibition from his experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake and all after effects of the crisis. This experience gave him an opportunity to think about our civilization in conceptualized. Chiezo said  "When a crisis of our modern civilization, I rediscover Power of Art.  Especially on mid 20 century Modern Art. "

【Deadline Extended (to Nov 15th)】On the Agenda of the Arts 2011: Open Call for the Educational Program

On the Agenda of the Arts" is a project that examines current and future role of art through dialogue in diverse cultures. As a related event of this exhibition which is currently ongoing at TWS Shibuya, we will have a Educational Program by some of the leading Artists from Asia.


This Educational Program include  open lectures to reveal the secret of their creative process, workshops intended for wide variety of audience and mentoring sessions for young artists, curators or researchers.


* We have extended the deadline for the application from Nov 8th (Tue) to Nov 15th (Tue). It is quite close, but we are looking forward to your apply!
