TWS hongo

Since it opened in 2001 as a new platform for art in Tokyo,Tokyo Wonder Site (TWS) has been functioning as a gateway for young Japanese artists in coalition with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government-hosted "Tokyo Wonder Wall" exhibition. At the same time, TWS in engaging in a broad range of work, including among others exhibitions of international artists' works, events introducing contemporary classical music, collaborative projects with traditional arts and crafts, artist residency trial programs, and club events with/for artists and art fans. The openings of TWS Shibuya and TWS Aoyama in 2005 and 2006 respectively marked an intensification of the program's appeal to young artists. In cooperation with TWS Aoyama, TWS Hongo provides studio space for the production of artworks.
