BA in Environmental Information, Keio University SFC, Japan.
While studying there, he co-founded Surroundings Co., Ltd., a company that proposes lifestyles of the near future through items such as furniture and stationery. In 2006, Watanabe was a Vulcanus in Europe overnment-funded scholarship recipient, and interned at Cisco Systems, Belgium. He joined takram as design engineer in 2007.  Won red dot award: product design 2009 and other design awards.
