Jason Wee founded and runs Grey Projects, an alternative art space and residency that focuses on nascent practices and experimental curatorship.
He was a 2005-2006 Studio Fellow at the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. He completed a residency at Artspace, Sydney in December 2007. He was an Artist-in-Residence in the International Symposium of Electronic Arts 2008.
He is currently showing at Flag Art Foundation, New York, Valentine Willie Fine Art, Kuala Lumpur and the Institut fur Auslandbeziehungen (ifa) galleries, Stuttgart..
About works / performance
I am looking at ways of displacing various facts from their usual locations, creating other fictions and stories, even poetry. I like it even better when this displacement happens twice in a work, putting the original fact or truth even further away.
