Miyuki Sakanaka, a violinist born in Osaka graduated top of the department of music, Kyoto City University of Arts. She received the award for excellence at the 7th Kobe International Students' Music Competition in 2002. In the fi eld of contemporary music, she presented a sonata entitled "Yamegurime no haru ni," a piece dedicated to the composer, Hinoharu Matsumoto. In 2010, she concentrated on learning special paying techniques at the International Ensemble Modern Academy hosted by TWS.
