About works / performance

My work is centered in the creation of interactive works where the active participation of the observer is fundamental to complete the work. The use of sound is also a key element on my work complemented with video, image, or kinetic sculpture. Currently I work on the creation of interactive and multimedia sound installations using antique acoustic pianos extended with sensors, solenoids, and computers. I also compose sonic site-specific journeys and play with the Juum duet.

Comment

My installations and sound works intend to be non-utilitarian channels of poetic audiovisual collaboration. These works explore issues of fragmented and lost communication, identity, and personal history throw the use of sound. In this way, my installations are containers and shapers of the real and virtual surrounding constructed by all the people that contributes with the source content. In other words, my installations are receptacles of the collective acoustic and visual imagination.
