Matt Rogers is a composer and a sound designer who has written for and collaborated with a host of leading instrumentalists, ensembles and music technologists. His creations range from purely acoustical concert works for ensembles, including the Britten Sinfonia, the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Sinfonietta, to experimental works with electronics.
I am currently composer in residence with the St. Paul's Sinfonia chamber orchestra, recently completing 'exile' a Concerto for Horn and Orchestra, which was premiered in London in December. Another recent work is 'the end of the stone age' for Cello and Tape, which was performed by the London Sinfonietta.
As well as this I am involved in ongoing work with Ventress Electronium (drums and live electronics), and on a Concerto for Cello and Fair Organ for Southbank Centre Artist in Residence, Oliver Coates. I have recently been commissioned to write a short opera and piece for percussion, electronics and aerial dancer.
