Comment
In the painting and collages from Kaori Nakajima, she combines a certain surreal environment with a depiction of mysterious activities from stereotyped figures, for example the person who is sinking into melancholic thoughts, acrobats, Japanese comic figures, and dolls.
Catastrophe and the idyllic landscape exist disturbingly next to each other through the loss of peace in the simple motif and paradise garden by destructive elements.
This imaginary world leads you to the denial towards logic of the time and space and makes you imagine the world of dreams which is subjective and irrational.
