Profile

Heath Nash holds a BA in Fine Art (sculpture) from the University of Cape Town. In 2006,
he was the ELLE DECORATION SA designer and lighting designer of the year, and won the
title of British Council South African creative entrepreneur of the year.

About works / performance

I run a company in Cape Town, South Africa where I design products using typical South African craft techniques and materials (eg wire working) and explore re-use in the realm of product design. I have a standard range of products and also make special commissioned pieces using the techniques mentioned above.

Comment

I enjoy exploring new ways to use old and traditionally useless/valueless materials. I like to play with materials. I like to limit myself to a specific thing for a long time, and really explore it. I love traditional craft and am interested in crafts from cultures around the world.
