Born in Hokkaido in 1985. Akira Miyanaga obtained his MFA in Conceptual and Media
Art at the Graduate School of Art and Design, Kyoto City University of Arts in 2009. His selected
solo exhibitions include "Kyoto University of Arts exhibition of works 2008," where he was awarded the Encouragement Prize. He has participated in various group exhibitions such as "Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi 2009," where he was awarded the Shihoko Iida Prize at Gyoko-dori Underground Gallery, Tokyo, in 2009.
