Comment

I paint places where very ordinary, everyday things have happened, or are happening. Scenes that may be of no lasting interest to other people take on great significance for me. I take things that might be called memories or recollections that arise within me and recreate them, as afterimages of unclear color and line in a space on canvas. This is my own space in combination with my own subjectivity, like the game I used to play alone as a small child, allocating colors to objects, such as red for strawberries or blue for buildings. All of them are places I have been, or places where I am.
