Comment

My works have been explored various ways of relating everyday life with art. More specifically, I have worked on ideas like 'artistic recreation in accordance with the surroundings' and 'the methods to narrow the gap between life and art'. My recent works such as "May I plant flowers here?", a project presenting episodes of communication with neighbors through the medium of planting flowers; "家和萬事成: When One's Home is Happy, All Goes Well", a painting installation valuable for Ssangam barbershop owner only; "Untitled", applying paint that fills the cracks of gallery floor with artist’s paint; and "YOU", an exhibition organized with Akiyoshi residents’ products, are derived from the idea of life and art.
