Profile

Taipei based sound artist. His works take on a variety of forms such as Audio-Visual, experimental sound, installations and live performances. He composes time-based sculpture with field recording sources where the exquisite and violent coexist. He tries to combine minimal, ambient and complexities and find the possible. His visual work developed according to the audio's original data and its micro unit. In recent years, he also collaborated with independent dancers and visual artists and has performed in many countries.

About works / performance

This project has planed to be presented as sound installation, and there is several radios spread in space. Every radio stays in different channel and its sound outputs to the multi-sound tracks speakers through computer and mixer. While people move and interference in the space, it also produces non-uniform velocity which changes the sound track. Those form a new sound which combines sense of space and sense of cover. It redefines the radio content and resembles it to different sound parts, which invade audiences' sense.

Comment

We are in the information explosion world. For the conscious or unconscious reception of information and signals is no longer that important. As information’s medium and conductor, the body itself has become a kind of one-sided, partly, and caper type towards these messages. In a big city, a large number of information and signals crazily attack and invade all the human beings and things everywhere continuously. Therefore, I start wondering that what that would be if we change the misalignment and understanding way of to receive the information invading our body.
