波のした、土のうえ --花を手渡し明日も集う 映像 28min

For the coming March 11, Komori + Seo will present three-days screening event of their video work produced in 2014 along with talk sessions. The work under the wave, on the ground is constituted of video footages of the scenery and dialogue of people in the coastal city of Rikuzentakata, where was devastated by giant Tsunami 2011. The duo documented the region for three years and eight months, and constructed the footages by wearing narratives.

[Profile]
Art duo of Komori, filmmaker and Seo, painter and writer. They started their activity in March 2011, when they worked as volunteers in disaster area of Northeastern coast. They moved to Rikuzentakata city, Iwate prefecture in 2012 and keep on document the scenery which changes day by day due to the reconstruction as well as people living there. In 2015, with the other companies working in the area, they established NOOK association Inc. which aims to create practical expression for the delivery of local document.
