TWS Aoyama: Creator-in-Residence organizes monthly public program, "OPEN STUDIO" which is for the public to see the creative process of residing creators, to communicate and to exchange ideas about their works. In each studio, creators present the progress of their works or research in various ways.
In the OPEN STUDIO of this month, Yukinori Yanagi(Artist/Associate Professor, Faculty of Art, Hiroshima City University) will give a talk. Please don't miss this precious opportunity!

Profile:Yukinori Yanagi

Artist. Born in 1959. Graduated from MFA in painting, Musashino Art University, Tokyo, Japan  in 1985 and finished fellowship of MFA in sculpture, Yale University, New Haven, CT, United States.  Received  "Aperto'93" award at 45th Venice Biennale and participated in group shows at Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2000) and 45th Venice Biennale. Started "Inujima Art Project", Okayama, Japan from 1995 and to serve Associate Professor, Faculty of Art, Hiroshima City University, Japan. He also participated artist in residences such as "International Studio Program", P.S.1 Museum, New York, NY, United States (1993),"Acadia Summer Arts Program", Mount Desert, ME, United States (1999,2005) and Headland Center for the Arts, Sausalito, CA, United States (2002).
