Call for experimental project proposals of TOKYO EXPERIMENTAL FESTIVAL ―SOUND, ART & PERFORMANCE― OPEN APPLICATION

TOKYO EXPERIMENTAL FESTIVAL
―SOUND, ART & PERFORMANCE―
Tokyo Wonder Site (TWS) launched experimental festival at TWS Hongo in 2006, which consisted of the projects selected by open application. The participants from different fields have achieved many experimental projects. This year, the festival will be held at TWS Shibuya. In the first part in December, the performance by Yosuke Yamashita and the award Recipients will be taken place. In the second part in February, 2011, the projects selected in this open application will be performed every day. In addition, the inviting musicians staying at TWS Aoyama: Creator-in- Residence will also give a presentation or workshop. We look forward to your participants.

<Application Outline>
Application Overview:
Calling for experimental live performance and music projects. The projects outside the field of musical discipline such as dance, video, sound installation, performance, media art and workshop are also acceptable; we also welcome applications from curators and producers. A person of any age and nationality is eligible to apply.
Support:
1.Exhibition space at TWS Shibuya will be provided without any charge.
2.TWS will support publicity. (Flier, Website, Mail magazine, Press release, etc.)
3.90 % of the ticket revenue will be given to the applicants.

From February 17 (Thu.) to 26 (Sat.), 2011

Eligibility:
1.Be able to execute the performance under their own responsibility.
2.Applicants who have passed the first screening must attend the interview in the second screening the end of September. (The exact date to be announced later)
Selection Schedule:
-First Stage: Screening of application, sound material or video.
-Second Stage: Interview and Presentation by applicants
Venue: Tokyo Wonder Site Aoyama: Creator-in-Residence
-The final results will be announced on Tokyo Wonder Site website at the end of September.
